Cookie Carosella
Cookie has worked in every facet of film & television production for the past 20 years. She recently produced "Easier With Practice," written & directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez, starring Brian Geraghty. Already the film has been nominated for 2 Spirit Awards, won the Grand Jury Prize at Cinevegas and Best International Feature at the prestigious Edinburgh International Film Festival. Carosella was also Vice President of Physical Production for Hyde Park Entertainment, she worked with MGM and Disney on multiple feature films. She was Associate Producer and Post Production Supervisor on Bringing Down the House, starring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah, wrote multiple shows for E! Entertainment's "A Second Look, a reality show about people turning their lives around, and has worked with many top writers, producers and directors in entertainment. Cookie found Tuff Cookie Productions, to bring the skills she learned in Hollywood to the internet and to help the nonprofit sector raise money and awareness. Tuff Cookie videos and PSAs have aired on local networks, run in major theatre chains, won multiple awards and have helped raise over $10 million.
Kyle Patrick Alvarez
Kyle Patrick Alvarez wrote & directed his first feature film, Easier With Practice, based on a recent article published in GQ Magazine, written by Davy Rothbart, creator of 'Found' Magazine. Since its premiere, Easier With Practice has been nominated for 2 Spirit Awards, won multiple awards including the Grand Jury Prize at Cinevegas and Best International Feature at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Alvarez has written, directed and edited multiple award winning projects and helped found Tuff Cookie Productions. He has also directed and edited videos for one of the top internet websites in the country, Liquid Generation, and has worked for many top level Advertising and Entertainment Industry professionals, including Jamie Kennedy. Kyle graduated cum laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelors degree in Motion Pictures Production and English Literature.
